Hello everyone,
It’s almost Christmas and therefore it’s time to share some lovely recipes to share with friends and family. For my first blog post I decided to share with you my gluten-free apple pie recipe. In France, most of apple pies don’t have a dough on top which make them a bit lighter. The secret of a good gluten-free pie is its crust. This one crust is really easy to make with simple ingredients. Hope you will enjoy!
food processor or blender
Ingredients
- 2 cups of almond flour
- ¼ cup of rolled oat
- ½ cup of powdered sugar
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup of butter
- 3 apples
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon
- 2 tablespoon of cane sugar
In the food processor, add the almond flour, the rolled oat, the powder sugar and the egg and mix well. Then add the butter and mix until you get a crumble crust. In a greased pie dish, add the crumb and press it you get something uniform. Then place the dish in the fridge or freezer for 10-15 min. Cut the three apples and in a bowl mix it with the sugar and the cinnamon. Place the apples in the pie dish in circles. Bake for 40-50 minutes until apples and crust are golden.
